MIND ON MILLER
take your lights
throw them out
sit in the darkness, with your thoughts
with no one else
and cry
because your tears can't drown you
and, well, someone else's thoughts
might kill you
better to be without
and to love
at least the loudness
in hearing nothing else at all
so you scream
and no one hears
so you cry
until someone fears
for you, for your thoughts
for you to hold on tight
to the life that hides itsef
to the abuse that never opens in wounds
until it finds a sordid fight
the creepiness outside your door, the ghosts that burn to take flight
so turn out the lights
keep it all locked up
for a goodnight
